FlatWorld Scholarship's Impact

"Committed to student success, our University is working to reduce textbook costs. For our introductory entrepreneurship class, we’ve been using a no-cost edition that will soon be discontinued. Free access to Entrepreneurship 2.0 will ensure its ongoing use, while equipping our students with high-quality resources for success."
– Professor Cintya Gajardo-Vejar and 2025 FlatWorld Scholarship Winner

“This course is a social-behavioral general education course, and as such, students from all majors can take this course as part of their general education requirements. We are trying to introduce as many students as possible to the importance of sustainability. The majority of our students are commuters, with many of them paying a portion of their way through school. Every semester I have students who struggle to pay for their textbooks. This scholarship will free our students from the stress of purchasing their textbooks and ensure everyone in our classrooms is equipped with the materials they need to have a successful semester.”

– Dr. Steve Sharp | Senior Lecturer professor at Tennessee Tech University  and 2024 FlatWorld Scholarship Winner
